For Teague, the goal of Blue Bowl originated overseas during military service in the US Army, working as an officer in a highly stressful environment. He was confronted daily with the search for a fast and healthy meal that offered a natural boost of energy. After returning to the US of A, Teague found himself back in a world where so many were looking for that same thing! Teague took to the drawing board and wound up testing ideas in local farmers' markets.
Meanwhile, Ish, a health food industry insider, was busy in the world of sales when their paths crossed. Together, Teague and Ish set off to build the first create-your-own acai bowl model, giving customers the power to make a bowl exactly how they want it. They opened the first location in the city of Orange in a small, no-frills shopping plaza.
After opening the second location in Huntington Beach, Teague and Ish decided they needed a few more hands, minds and striking good looks on deck to help grow the company. So they brought in Craig, a Haaavaaad grad who had recently returned from building several companies in Latin America. Hola, Craig!
